Appukrishnan is a proudly wrapping up his final year in the Integrated Masters programme where he got to nerd out in English Studies. He’s the kind of person who’s deeply invested in two things: dissecting the urban vibes that shape hip-hop’s soundscapes and soaking up all the music and movies that he can get his hands on. This passion for all things audio-visual has taken him down the rabbit hole or urban studies where he is currently researching how city spaces give hip-hop its grit and texture – think concrete jungles, bass beats, and some serious spatial attitude. When he is not diving into research and analysing beats, he’s out playing cricket and football, his other great loves.
