Garima is an English Studies major in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras. She is broadly interested in the areas of urban studies, queer studies, and literary studies. Her current research focuses more specifically on public transport in Chennai and the role of state in shaping public transport. She is also interested in fandom studies, especially in looking at fandoms and fan cultures through the lens of territoriality, as geographic assemblages. Apart from this, she enjoys reading poetry and fiction, walking, writing, and translation.
