This sets of film clips and images are our work with ‘Ustaad’ working across Bengaluru on both Apple phones/laptops and Android phones. These are being mounted on acrylic to also help explore the ‘eco system’ of the procurement of sub assemblies, but also the equipment required for refurbishment, and associated skill levels, and most important life stories around these. These are works in progress in the sense that new conceptual arrangements and analytics emerge on the part. Note that the underlying networks are intensely transnational but also entangled in complex new skill sets emerging – in what Simone (2004) calls “people as infrastructures”.
